This policy explains what FACEOFF collects, why, and what control you have over it. FACEOFF is a play-money game and never collects payment details.
To run the game: authenticate you, settle challenges, calculate rankings, show friend activity, send you notifications you asked for, prevent abuse, and fix bugs. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising networks against it.
Your username, avatar, point balance, ELO, and rank are visible to other players on leaderboards and profiles. Your challenge activity is visible to the people you challenge and to your friends in the Live Feed. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other users.
FACEOFF runs on Lovable Cloud for its database, authentication, and backend functions. Twilio delivers verification texts. Google Firebase delivers push notifications. Sports results come from publicly available ESPN endpoints. These providers process data only to deliver those functions.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings — this permanently removes your profile, challenge history, ELO history, friendships, comments, notifications, and push tokens, and refunds any open challenges to both players. Aggregate operational logs that contain no personal identifiers may be retained.
You can edit your display name, username, and avatar at any time, turn push notifications off from Account Settings or your browser, and delete your account. To request a copy of your data, use the feedback form in Account Settings.
FACEOFF is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
